TOEFL (Test Of English as a Foreign Language) adalah ujian yang biasa diterapkan untuk menguji kemampuan bahasa inggris peserta. Didalamnya terdapat beberapa pertanyaan berbahasa inggris, seperti soal listening TOEFL, menguji kemampuan membaca dan menulis.
Bagi kita yang bahasa dasarnya bukan berbahasa inggris, tes TOEFL ini sangat diperlukan. Biasanya hasil dari tes ini bisa digunakan untuk mendaftar masuk ke universitas Amerika Serikat ataupun lain sebagainya.
Pada kesempatan kali ini, kita akan mengupas Tips & Trick untuk menjawab soal listening TOEFL.

TOEFL Listening Question (English Version)
TOEFL is a exam that was applied for test skill english language participant. In TOEFL some question a english language as listening question, test reading skills and writing.
For your's whose basic language not english language, test TOEFL is indispensable. Usually the result of this test can be used to register for entry to United States university etc.
On this occasion, we will explore tips & trick to answer TOEFL listening question.
TOEFL listening question usually divided in 3 parts as Part A, Part B and Part C.
Listening PART A
Directions – In Part A, you will hear short conversations between two speakers. At the end of each conversation a third voice will ask a question about what was said. The question will be spoken just one time. After your hear a conversation and the question about it, read the four possible answers and decide which one would be the best answer to the question you have heard. Then, on your answer sheet, find the number of the problem and mark your answer.
Example Question:
1. Woman: Do you know what happen to Sally?
Man: She couldn’t find class room the class has begun.
Narattor: What the man say happen to Sally?

Answer: D. She had some trouble finding the class, but she arrived on time. Because he didn’t see Sally in the classroom.

Narattor: How does the man say he spell his last name?
Optional

Answer: B. Wittner. Because the woman ask to man for spell his last name and the man tells her.
Tips: In answer listening question part A, we must focus on listening to the sentences spoken by the second speaker. Usually the clue will be presented in the last sentences, so that we can adjust the answer.
Listening PART B
Directions – In Part B, you will hear longer conversation. After each conversation, you will be asked some questions. The conversation and question will be spoken just one time. They will not be written out for you, so you will have to listen carefully in order to understand and remember what the speaker says. When you hear a question, read the four possible answer in your test book and decide which one would be the best answer to the question you have heard. Then, on your answer sheet, find the number of the problem and fill in the space that corresponds to the letter of the answer you have choosen.

Tips: In answering listening question TOEFL part B, we must listen to all the dialogue lines. But there is an easy way to answer it:
- When the narrator read the instructions regarding part B question, we can read the optional answers provided. Then try to memorize and predict the themes that will be present in the dialogue.
- Focus on the theme of the dialogue being discussed.
- Also focus on the background, place, time, speaker and subject being discussed
Listening PART C
Directions – In Part C, you will hear several talks. After each talk, you will be asked some question. The talks and questions will be spoken just one time. They will not be written out for you, so you will have to listen carefully in order to understand and remember what the speaker says. When you hear a question, read the four possible answers in your test book and decide which one would be the best answer to the question you have heard. Then, on your answer sheet, find the number of the problem and fill in the space that corresponds to the letter of the answer you have choosen.

Tips: In answering listening question TOEFL part c, we must listen to all the dialogue lines. Usually there will be three to seven questions from one story presented. As for an easy way to answer it:
- When the narrator read the instructions regarding part B question, we can read the optional answers provided. Then try to memorize and estimate the keywords that will be delivered by the speaker.
- Focus on the first sentence, usually enough questions about the topic of the story.
- Also focus on questions about 5W+1H (what, who, when, where, why and how)
Soal Listening TOEFL (Versi Indonesia)
Pada soal listening TOEFL biasanya terbagi menjadi 3 bagian, yaitu Part A, Part B dan Part C. Apa ada ada yang tahu perbedaan dari ketiga bagian tersebut?
Listening PART A
Petunjuk – Pada bagian A, akan ada percakapan pendek diantara dua orang. Di akhir percakapan, aka nada narrator yang menanyakan tentang apa saja yang ada pada percakapan tersebut. Pertanyaan hanya disajikan sekali. Setelah mendengarkan percakapan tersebut, kita harus membaca 4 opsional jawaban untuk menjawab pertanyaan dari percakapan yang telah disajikan. Kemudian hitamkan pilihan jawabannya pada kertas jawaban.

Tips: Dalam menjawab soal ini kita harus fokus mendengarkan kalimat yang dibicarakan dari pembicara kedua (Man). Biasanya clue akan disajikan pada kalimat akhir percakapan sehingga kita bisa menyesuaikan jawabannya.
Listening PART B
Petunjuk – Pada bagian B, kita akan mendengarkan percakapan yang cukup panjang. Setelah percakapan itu selesai disajikan maka kita akan diberikan beberapa pertanyaan. Percakapan dan pertanyaan hanya diucapkan satu kali. Pertanyaan yang disajikan tidak dituliskan pada lembar soal, sehingga kita harus mendengarkan dengan cermat supaya dapat memhami serta mengingat percakapan apa yang telah disajikan.

Listening PART C
